Reviews are provided of recent publications and studies in the following areas: educational challenges in Japan; educational reform in the Republic of Korea; secondary education and youth in Australia; improvement of higher education management in Australia; decentralized educational planning in Papua New Guinea; school clusters in Thailand; child development and child rearing practices in Asia; the child and family development project in Thailand; the psychology of literacy; communication technology in Southeast Asia; and education as a commodity.
